As you can see, this replica is fully functional and screen accurate, just like all our time circuits.

The mechanical part consists in a custom made aluminum plate, two side legs also custom made, and two accurate hangers at the bottom.

The electronics consist in a wide board with 200 LEDs and a custom microprocessor to drive them all.

Other prop makers will just display a sound on it, but it’s not screen accurate

As can be seen in the movie, the columns move up and down in a pseudo-random manner, and the distribution of columns changes every few seconds.

When speed increases up to 88mph, all columns move up to saturation (for this feature, the SID must be connected to our TFC Drive Switch).

 It can also be used as a standalone device, to stand in your collection of items from the movie. You just need to add a +12v regulated power supply capable of at least 500mA.

As you can see on this close up view, all machined parts have a nice finished surface.

All Leds have their accurate plastic covers: all 200 are carefully inserted by hand!

You can see that all high end sensitive electronic parts are potted in a really small resin block to ensure the best reliability. The board is professionally etched and all LEDs are perfectly aligned.
