This digital speedometer is an amazing prop. It can read any speed you like for demonstration when the car does not actually move but you want it to display more than just a 0. Connect it to our TFC Drive Switch, and you can make it ramp up to 88mph and then down to 0, and even set any speed from 0 to 88 by turning the TFC front knob. And if you connect a speed sender to a dedicated input on our TFC, it displays the actual speed of you car! We now make our own GPS speed sender: Have a look to our “Speed sender” page.

Note that if you choose to connect a speed sender, you’ll still be able to display any speed with the front knob or with the simulation sequence when the car does not move.

If not connected to our TFC Drive Switch, our speedometer just displays 0.

Special care has been taken to every single detail:

The two digits are covered with a special milk plastic to get the same blurred lighting as you can see in the movie.

The “Dymo” labels that read “SET TO 88” have the exact dimensions. We use a vintage labeller to make them.

On this picture, you can see the rear black connector and its fake cable with the accurate grey color and big section. This special cable is of course included in the product

Also included is the smaller secondary cable, just like in the movie, and this is the one that really carries power and data. We now provide this high quality specific cable for digital data with all our time circuits.
