This is a perfect replica of the BTTF Time Circuit Display (TCD), also called Time Display Unit (TDU) This is version 2 of our product: amazingly screen accurate!
This is the masterpiece of the time machine made by Doc Brown inside a DeLorean car: A three-line time display
made up of 7-segment and 16-segment LED displays, and a keypad for entering the times. This replica is fully functional. It includes all the electronics required to drive the LED displays and the keypad. All the
features of the movie are implemented, including the sounds. The electronic circuits inside are made up of high end parts including a custom designed microprocessor. This is the result of several years of improvements. It can be used as a standalone device, to stand in your collection of items from the movie. You just need to add a +12v regulated power supply capable of at least 500mA.
Or if you own a Delorean car, you can install it on the center console of the car: it fits like a glove!
This unit is 100% functional, that means:
- “Destination Time”, “Present Time” and “Last Time Departed” can be entered on the keypad and they are memorized and restored after power shutdown.
- Present Time is a crystal-driven real-time clock with internal backup cell. - The appropriate sounds are played at power-up, at keypad dialling and at data validation.
- Upon data validation on keypad, the acknowledge light bulb illuminates - Connectivity to our TFC Drive Switch is possible, allowing the “time transition event” to be simulated, and as a result
the “Present Time” and “Last Time Departed” lines are updated (the lines are shifted downward). Other details:
- Metal case made of aluminum (keypad case is in plastic). Faceplates are wrinkle finish painted to look 100% like the original material.
- Can be connected to the car +12V power supply with the attached cigarette-lighter cable, or to our TFC with special digital cable.
